Using paper to investigate space, form, texture, light, and shadow.

The idea behind this assignment is to explore the "skin and bones" concept by creating a space that manipulates light and shadow. The skin is represented using mat board, while the bones (support) are defined by using wooden sticks.
In the interior space, a pattern of light is created through slits and openings. The light reflects off various sizes of wooden sticks, creating a calm atmosphere. In contrast, the exterior space features a dense shadow, creating a dramatic effect.
In this model, the skin acts as a threshold linking the exterior and interior atmospheres. The bones provide structural support, divide the interior space, and assist in manipulating the light.

Kit of Parts: This assignment integrates issues of space, form, void, and connection into a single three-dimensional mixed media composition.
